Greta Van Fleet

Rock’n’roll is alive and well – and Greta Van Fleet are here to prove it.

From the little town of Frankenmunth in Michigan, the Kiszka brothers (Josh on vocals, Jake on guitar and Sam on bass) and drummer Danny Wagner formed the blues rock band Greta Van Fleet (named after a resident of Frankenmuth) in 2012. The band was later signed to Lava Records and released their first debut EP Black Smoke Rising in April 2017 as well as double EP From the Fires in November of the same year.

Greta Van Fleet’s sound takes us back to the golden era of rock. Often compared to the rock gods Led Zeppelin, the quartet is enjoying a growing success following the release of their first EP in April 2017 and are undoubtedly on their way to become one of North America’s greatest bands of all time. To name some of their main influences: Elmore James, Jimi Hendrix, Howlin’ Wolf and Wilson Pickett.

2018 has been a very exciting year for the band so far. They have gone on a busy tour in both America and Europe and sold out every of their shows. They also earned praised from both Led Zeppelin’s singer Robert Plant and Elton John, the latter inviting them to perform at his annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party in Los Angeles. However, the most exciting news has yet to come: the band has recorded their first album, Anthem of the Peaceful Army, coming out in October 19. You can already pre-order the album on their website: http://www.gretavanfleet.com. .

I am absolutely thrilled about this band. Both Black Smoke Rising and From The Fires were extremely promising and I cannot wait to listen to their first album. I had the chance to see them perform at the O2 Islington in London earlier this year where they delivered a fabulous performance. The band is going back to Europe in a couple of weeks and will perform three sold-out shows at London’s O2 Kentish Town in November. The band has also announced their March of the Peaceful Army tour which will begin early next year.

The future of rock’n’roll has finally a name – and it’s called GRETA VAN FLEET
